Solar Panel Installer

This permanent position is in Waynesboro, VA, but daily assignments could be at job sites all over Northern Virginia. You will leave with your crew and return to the Waynesboro area.

He or she installs, maintains, interfaces with, sets up, and repairs electrical wiring, PVC or bendable conduits, equipment, fixtures, mounts, junction boxes, & Photo-voltaic (PV) panels on residential, commercial and agricultural job sites.

The work will be performed inside and outside in basements, attics, on walls, on roofs or other structures in cold or warm weather as required.

All work is in compliance with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, site plans, company designs and schematics.

Includes installing measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting, structural framing, conduit, heavy gauge wire, in support of the solar panel installation process.

Lifting heavy panels is required and you will be working inside and outside in confined spaces, on roofs with hard hats, gloves and with safety harnesses. You will also be working around high voltage.

Annual compensation is based on an incentive basis: $31,000 to $55,000 /year

The Solar Panel Installer apprentice is technically skilled, but does not need to have Solar Panel installation experience. Roofing experience is a plus. Valid Virginia Drivers License is required.
